Best Dispensaries

Where to Go in Vegas

Recreational cannabis is fully legal in Nevada for 21+. But not all dispensaries are created equal. Here are the spots that are actually worth your time and money, whether you're after the experience or just the best prices.

MUST VISIT

Planet 13

Near the Strip — 2548 W Desert Inn Rd

The largest dispensary in the WORLD, and it's not even close. Planet 13 is less "store" and more "cannabis entertainment complex." We're talking an interactive LED orb installation in the lobby, a massive retail floor with hundreds of products, and the kind of production value you'd expect from a Vegas casino. Even if you don't buy anything, it's worth the visit just to see what $100M invested in a dispensary looks like. First-timers: start here. You'll remember this one.

LOCALS FAVORITE

The Dispensary

Henderson & near Strip corridor

If Planet 13 is the theme park, The Dispensary is the no-nonsense neighborhood spot that locals actually go to. Consistently the best prices in the Strip corridor, daily deals that are genuinely good (not the "was $60 now $55" kind), and a staff that actually knows what they're talking about. They'll ask what you're looking for and point you to the right product instead of upselling you on the most expensive shelf. This is where your dollar goes the furthest.

Reef Dispensaries

Multiple locations near the Strip

Reef has nailed the convenience factor. Multiple locations within a short Uber ride from any major Strip hotel, open late (some locations until midnight or later), and a streamlined checkout process that gets you in and out fast. The selection is solid across flower, edibles, and vapes. Not the cheapest, not the fanciest — but when it's 11pm and you want to grab something quick without a production, Reef is the play. They also tend to have shorter lines than Planet 13, especially on weekends.

HUGE SELECTION

NuWu Cannabis Marketplace

Downtown — 1235 Paiute Circle

The hidden gem that budget-conscious locals swear by. NuWu is operated by the Las Vegas Paiute Tribe on tribal land, which means different tax structures and generally lower prices than Strip-adjacent dispensaries. The selection is absolutely massive — one of the biggest inventories in the state. And here's the kicker: they have a 24/7 drive-thru. Yes, a drive-thru dispensary that never closes. It's about 10 minutes from the Strip and the savings are real, especially if you're buying for a group.

Consumption Lounges

The Lounge, Cannabis Café & more

This is the game-changer that Vegas has been waiting for. Nevada recently legalized on-site consumption lounges, and they're finally open. Places like The Lounge and Cannabis Café let you purchase and consume right there — legally. Think of it like a bar, but for cannabis. Social atmosphere, curated menus, sometimes food and entertainment. This is the ONLY legal way to consume if you're staying in a hotel (more on that in the tips below). More lounges are opening every few months, so this scene is growing fast.

Delivery Services

Multiple licensed services available

Don't want to leave your hotel? Multiple licensed delivery services operate across the Vegas valley and will bring products straight to you. The process is simple: browse online, place your order, and a driver shows up with your purchase. Most services require a minimum order ($50-75 typically), and delivery windows range from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on demand. One important caveat: not all hotels will allow delivery to your room — check the tips section below for how to handle that.

Insider Knowledge

5 Things You Need to Know

Vegas cannabis laws are specific, and the fines for breaking them are real. Read this before you do anything — it'll save you money and potentially a citation.

🆔

21+ With Valid ID — No Exceptions

Every dispensary in Nevada will card you, every single time. You need a valid government-issued photo ID — driver's license, passport, or state ID. Out-of-state IDs work perfectly fine, so don't worry about needing a Nevada ID. But they are strict. Expired IDs, photos of your ID on your phone, or "I left it at the hotel" won't cut it. If you're in a group, everyone entering the dispensary needs to show ID, even if only one person is buying. Don't be the one who holds up the whole crew.

⚠️

You CANNOT Consume in Public — $600+ Fines

This is the one that catches tourists every single time. You cannot consume cannabis on the Strip, in casinos, in hotel rooms, in parking lots, on sidewalks, or basically anywhere that's publicly visible or on private property that doesn't explicitly allow it. The fine starts at $600 and can go higher. Casino security will also escort you out and potentially ban you from the property. This isn't a scare tactic — Clark County Metro actively enforces this, especially on the Strip. The smell gives you away instantly.

Consumption Lounges Are the Legal Way

If you're visiting Vegas and staying in a hotel, consumption lounges are realistically your only fully legal option to consume. They opened recently and more are coming online every few months. The experience is social and curated — think of it like going to a bar. Some have food menus, entertainment, and different "rooms" for different vibes. Entry fees are typically $20-50 and then you purchase from their menu. It's a completely different experience from smoking alone in a hotel stairwell hoping nobody notices (don't do that).

🏨

Hotel Delivery Is Tricky

Here's the reality: delivery services will technically deliver to a hotel address, but most Strip hotels won't allow the driver to come up to your room. Some hotels have a "package pickup" system at the front desk or bell desk, but this varies wildly by property and often depends on who's working that shift. Off-Strip hotels and Airbnbs are generally much easier for delivery. If you're staying on the Strip, your best bet is to visit a dispensary in person or hit a consumption lounge. Don't count on seamless hotel delivery — plan accordingly.

💰

Strip Prices Are 20-40% Higher

Dispensaries closest to the Strip charge a significant premium — you're paying for location convenience, just like everything else in Vegas. Planet 13 is absolutely worth it for the experience (go at least once), but if you're buying for a group or stocking up for several days, take a 10-minute Uber to NuWu downtown. The savings on a $150+ purchase can easily cover your ride both ways. Daily deals at locals-oriented dispensaries like The Dispensary can save you 30-40% compared to the same products near the Strip.
